Issue Details

I'm using the FPGA and modules in FPGA mode for my Real Time system. I also have a motor drive and am using NI-Softmotion. I know that Softmotion uses Scan Engine Mode. Does this take up any resources on my FPGA?

Solution

Your cRIO will technically be in Hybrid mode, but using SoftMotion will not take up any of the FPGA resources. SoftMotion will be in engaging Scan Engine Mode on the RT target, while the FPGA will be running as normal.

So for practical purposes, you can continue your work and be able to utilize your whole FPGA.
