Issue Details

I would like to deploy a Vision Builder inspection to a Real-Time target. What Real-Time targets support this functionality?

Solution

Many NI Real-Time Vision solutions are available, and most support Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI). A list of the Real-Time targets that support Vision Builder direct deployment is provided below:

Current Products:

  • ISC-178x Smart Cameras
  • NI IC-3120 and 3171 Industrial Controllers

Legacy Products:

  • NI EVS-1463RT and 1464RT Embedded Vision Systems
  • NI 1712, 1732, 1752, 1754, ISC-177x Smart Cameras
  • NI CVS-1457RT, 1458RT, and 1459RT Compact Vision Systems
  • NI IC-3121, 3172, and 3173 Industrial Controllers
Deploying VBAI scripts to a Real-Time PXI chassis or a Compact RIO is not currently supported.
For an updated list with the devices supported by a specific version of VBAI, refer to the readme file that comes with that version.

Additional Information

You can also use Vision Builder AI to configure and control the following Windows-based NI devices:
  • NI CVS-1458 and 1459 Compact Vision Systems
  • NI EVS-1463 and 1464 Embedded Vision Systems
  • NI IC-3120, 3121, 3171, 3172, and 3173 Industrial Controllers
