Issue Details

  • I am using the thermocouple input channels on the PXIe 4353 with an external CJC. How do I calculate my channel accuracy?

Solution

The channel accuracy using an external CJC is determined by the voltage offset error, gain stability, gain error, noise, the temperature range of the measurement and the error from the external CJC. Please refer to pages 11 - 13 in the PXIe 4353 device specification sheet for examples that walk you through accuracy calculations under different conditions.

Note: The examples use the CJC error values from the built in CJC. You should replace this value with the error from your external CJC.

Additional Information

When configuring your device using DAQmx be sure to set your CJC source to constant instead of built in.
