Issue Details

I am trying to use Ethernet/IP to allow my cDAQ and PLC to exchange data. Is it possible to connect by purchasing another module for my Ethernet cDAQ chassis?

Solution

Another hardware module is not required for a PLC capable of Ethernet/IP communication to exchange data with a cDAQ program.

Essentially, all that is required is the Ethernet/IP Driver for LabVIEW and a computer that is able to see the PLC and cDAQ on the network. You are able to have your Ethernet/IP communication code in the same VI as the cDAQ code and pass data as you would between any sections of code within LabVIEW.
