Project File Cannot Be Opened Due to Permissions

Issue Details

I am trying to open a LabVIEW project or library on a computer separate from the one I developed on, but am getting an error stating the following: 

Project or Library file cannot be opened. File permission error.  You do not have the correct permissions for the File.

How can I open the file on this machine?

Solution

First, check the file settings by right clicking the file, clicking Properties>>Security to ensure that your user profile has permission to edit or modify the file. If you are confident you should have access to the file based on your user privileges, copy the file from it's location to the desktop. This should remove any permissions for the file. If you can open the file on the desktop, copy it back to it's original location, and it should be accessible.
