Issue Details

I am trying to add my chassis to my LabVIEW project, but I am unable to discover the chassis. In NI-MAX I can connect to the controller but when click on Devices and Interfaces nothing happens or MAX becomes unresponsive. I am using a 9012 controller with a 911x chassis.

Solution

Remove unnecessary software from the controller through NI-MAX.

Additional Information

The 9012 is a legacy chassis and only has limited memory available. Modern software packages require more memory so installing too much software results in the 9012 having a full memory and prevents communication with the chassis. Only installing the bare minimum programs required for the application is recommended.
