Issue Details

R Series DAQ devices can be configured to run a compiled LabVIEW FPGA VI on power up. Is it possible for these boards to run headlessly?

Solution

Yes, but if you are not using a controller, you must use a MXI card in the controller slot of your PXI chassis. R Series boards were designed to run with a controller or MXI card in the chassis. Running these boards in a chassis without a controller or MXI card is not recommended, because the PXI lines have floating signals that could cause damage to the board. A MXI card would pull the digital lines down to ground.
