NI MAX Can't Find Device Driver for My USB-8451

Issue Details

I have the latest version of the NI-845x driver installed, but my device shows up with an exclamation point in the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). In the Windows Device Manager it is mentioned that there is not a driver for the device. 

Solution

In order to solve this issue you should try the options below:
  • Manually point to the device driver from Windows Device Manager.
  • Reset MAX Database and remove the device, then plug the device back in after MAX has finished resetting
If these options fail you should force reinstall the NI-845x driver.

Additional Information

These behavior can also present itself after upgrading to a newer version of the NI-845x driver.
