How can I upgrade the version of the firmware of my C Series device?

Firmware is basically programs that allow low-level control of a hardware. In the case of analog and digital acquisition devices, the chassis where it is being used control's the module without needing a firmware.

There are some C series devices that do need a firmware. The most common ones are NI-XNET, CANopen, DeviceNet and SoftMotion Drive Interfaces. Refer to the Related Link section documentation on updating firmware for these devices.
