Issue Details

I would like to use a signal in Motorola format for XNET LIN communication.  Is this possible?

Solution

NI-XNET LIN does support big endian signals (Motorola) as long as they are defined in a database format that supports endianness, such as Fibex.  However, if this does not apply then you need the signals to be in Intel format.  This example shows how you convert from "Motorola" to "Intel" format.

Additional Information

The primary difference between Intel and Motorola format has to do with the Endianness.  Motorola uses big endian format and intel uses little endian format.
