Issue Details

I am using a multifunctional DAQ device in a Veristand project. I want to set the input mode of some AI channel to differential. However, after I change the Input configuration to Differential, I can't deploy the project and receive an error code -200077 in Running Project dialog box.

Solution

Each differential channel needs two certain analog inputs, an AI+ and an AI-. So only half of the analog inputs (AI+) can be set to differential mode, and the corresponding AI- will be automatically taken over. The error code -200077 means you set some AI- ports as differential channels.

To avoid this error, you should choose only the AI+ ports for differential DAQ channels, and do not manually set any channel using the corresponding AI-. Refer to the DAQ device manual or spec to identify the port numbers of AI+ and AI-.

Additional Information

The following steps would help you to set up a DAQ device in your Veristand project.
  1. Open Veristand project, then open the system explorer by double-clicking [Your Project Name].nivssdf in System Definition File.
  2. Navigate to Targets>>Controller>>Hardware>>Chassi>>DAQ.
  3. Add a DAQ device by right-clicking DAQ and select Add DAQ Device, or click the Add DAQ Device button at the menu bar.
  4. Type in the Device name which can be check and change in NI MAX. If you want, type in the Description. Select correct DAQ device type, and the input mode you want.
  5. Following the Add DAQ Channels wizard. Be careful in selecting the Analog Input if you are setting AI channels in differential mode.
  6. Click Finish.
  7. You can add or delete channels and devices using the right-click menu of the navigator window.
