Issue Details

I have created a LabVIEW Real-Time application on a computer with the LabVIEW development system. If I create a real-time executable for the real-time target and a Windows executablefor the host VI, can I communicate between the real-time target and a computer without a LabVIEW License.

Solution

Yes. You do not need a LabVIEW license to run a LabVIEW executable that communicates with a real-time target running a real-time executable.

Additional Information

It is recommended to allow the user to select the proper real-time target to connect to within the LabVIEW executable to ensure a proper connection.
