Issue Details

The NI website shows that there is a Linux and Windows version of the PCIe-GPIB card. Can I use that card with both operating systems or do I need two different cards?
I just purchased the PCIe-GPIB card, and realized it was the Linux version. Can I still use the hardware with my Windows computer?

Solution

The hardware for both of those cards is identical and will work with both operating systems.

The difference between the Linux and Windows versions of the cards is the driver media that is shipped with the card when you purchase it. You can go directly to our website to download the 488.2 driver needed for this card so you will not need the included installation media to get the driver.
