Issue Details

I have MATLAB® code written by someone else. I want to integrate this into the LabVIEW code I am writing, but I do not have access to a MATLAB® license. What are my options for integration?

Solution

Create a shared component, i.e. DLL, in MATLAB®. Call the DLL from LabVIEW using the Call Library Function Node. Note that the input and output data types of the DLL must be C data types in order to work correctly in LabVIEW.
Create a .exe file and run it from LabVIEW using the information contained in How Do I Run an Executable or External File from within LabVIEW?

Additional Information

The methods mentioned in How do I Transfer Data Between The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® Software Development Environment and LabVIEW? require a valid MATLAB license. If LabVIEW on a computer without a MATLAB license needs to run MATLAB code, then use the above options.
