Issue Details

My preferred programming language is a .NET language such as C# or Visual Basic. Can I program a National Instruments Real-Time target, such as a Compact Vision System, Embedded Vision System, Smart Camera, or CompactRIO using my preferred programming language?

Solution

Unfortunately, the answer is no. National Instruments Real-Time targets, such as the CompactRIO, run Real-Time operating systems that do not support the .NET Framework. You can program these targets using LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI.

Refer to the LabWindows/CVI Real-Time Module Frequently Asked Questions for more information on which real-time targets are supported by the LabWindows/CVI Real-Time Module.
