Microsoft Visual Studio .NET uses a Common Language Runtime (CLR) to manage code providing a programming model, memory management, and much more. To take full advantage of the managed .NET environment, all functions used in the code must be packaged in .NET assemblies.NI Vision 2013 Development Module supports interoperability between the Vision ActiveX controls and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. Note that Microsoft Visual Studio versions newer than 2008 are not supported. NI Vision installs the Interop Assemblies that allow .NET languages to correctly communicate with the ActiveX controls.
