How can I resolve this issue?

Solution

Error: 80040154 is an error that can occur after a fresh installation of TestStand. To prevent this error from occurring:
  • Confirm that your TestStand version is compatible with your operating system using the TestStand Release Information.
  • Make sure you have rebooted your computer after the software installation. If this error persists, it is possible that the TestStand installation did not set an active version of TestStand. To set an active version:
  1. Click Start » Programs » National Instruments » TestStand » TestStand Version Selector.

  2. You might get an error message at this point explaining that there is no current active version. Click OK.
  3. Select the version of TestStand you want to set as the active version from the Installed TestStand Versions dropdown box.
  4. Click Make Active.
  5. You should get a confirmation dialog box informing you that the active TestStand version has been changed successfully.
