Does My NI Device Comply with the Latest RoHS Directive?

Updated Feb 12, 2019

Issue Details

Our company has incorporated an NI product into our custom device. We are seeking the CE mark for our device. We therefore need to know if the NI board complies with the latest Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive.

Where can I find the appropriate product documentation for RoHS compliance of an NI device?

Please visit our Product Certification page and enter the model number of your device to view a list of all product certifications and documentation, including RoHS. If you cannot find your product on the certification page, contact National Instruments support for assistance in verifying RoHS compliance.

You can learn more about RoHS compliance at ourĀ National Instruments RoHS FAQ.

Additional Information

As of the time of this writing, the current directive is RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, which is known as RoHS 2. It replaced 2002/95/EC (RoHS 1) back in 2011, and took effect in 2013. RoHS 2 will be replaced by 2015/863 (RoHS 3) and take effect to products on the market on or after July 22, 2019. You can find this and more information on this topic at this RoHS FAQ page.
