Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Toolkit

Issue Details

My application using the BLE toolkit works as expected on the development machine, but fails to run as a built executable.

Solution

This issue is likely due to a missing driver on the target machine that is required within the BLE toolkit. The BLE toolkit requires NI VISA and NI Serial drivers to communicate with the Bluetooth Dongle attached to the machine. To avoid large file installations, you can download the NI VISA and NI Serial runtime engines for these drivers and deploy them to the target machine.

Additional Information

To avoid deploying these runtime engines to every target machine, you can create an installer that includes them automatically.

If this is not the issue to your problem, you can debug an executable by setting it up as a remotely debuggable executable. After doing that, you will be able to use the same debugging tools native to LabVIEW to find the issue that the executable is presenting.
