Issue Details

After upgrading to LabWindows™/CVI 2013 SP2 or a later version, the Resource Tracking window does not work anymore when debugging my Real-Time (RT) application deployed to an RT target running the LabWindows/CVI 2013 Real-Time Module. The Resource Tracking window displays a message that reads:

Resource tracking is available only at the 'extended' debugging level or after calling SetEnableResourceTracking.

I have set Options»Build Options»Debugging level to Extended, and my application allocates resources.

Solution

Starting in LabWindows/CVI 2013 SP2, the debugger expects certain messages to be sent from the debugged target for displaying resource tracking information. LabWindows/CVI 2013 Real-Time Module does not have these messages. Therefore, resource tracking does not work when using LabWindows/CVI 2013 SP2, and later versions, to debug applications deployed to LabWindows/CVI 2013 Real-Time Module RT targets.

To solve this problem, NI recommends that you deploy LabWindows/CVI 2013 Real-Time Module SP1, or higher, to your RT target.
