Software

Driver

  • NI-488.2

Operating System

  • Windows

Issue Details

  • When I expand Devices and Interfaces in NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (NI-MAX), my NI GPIB-USB-HS(+) device is missing, does not appear, or is not recognized in the list.
  • When I open Windows Device Manager, Yellow bang symbol is observed next to the GPIB-USB-HS+ device as shown belowGPIB_error.jpg

Solution

  • Make sure you have the latest compatible NI-488.2 driver version installed.

Note: Make sure the full version of the NI-488.2 driver is installed, not just the Run-Time version.

If after following these steps, you still cannot connect to the device, try to reinstall the NI-VISA and NI-488.2 drivers. If you then still experience issues, please contact NI Technical Support.
