Error -1074395967 IMAQ AVI2 Read Frame

Issue Details

I am trying to read frames from an AVI file using IMAQ AVI2 Read Frame.vi, but the file read gets stuck part way through and I get the error below. 

It always gets stuck on the same frame and I am able to read in the AVI files in the examples without issue. What is going on?

Error: -1074395967 occurs at IMAQ AVI 2 Read Frame.
 

 

Solution

There is a limitation in the IMAQ AVI2 Read Frame function that does not allow for reads of AVI files larger than 2GB. If you are having trouble with reading in your AVI file, it is suggested that you use the IMAQ AVI Read Frame function and the corresponding AVI VIs instead of the AVI2 VIs. 

The AVI VIs can be found in Avi1.llb and Avi2.llb, which are located in the following folder:
  •  <National Instruments>\20XX\vi.lib\vision\
