Solution
The DAQ Assistant is part of the NI-DAQmx DAQ hardware driver and is not included with the LabVIEW download.
If you are having issues locating the DAQ Assistant VI
Follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
- Ensure compatibility for your Operating System (OS), LabVIEW and NI-DAQmx versions by checking the following charts:
- Ensure that the Installation Order for Multiple NI Software Products is followed. LabVIEW must be installed first and then NI-DAQmx must be done after.
- If the installation was in the incorrect order, repairing or force reinstalling the DAQmx driver will fix the order.
- Upgrade to the newest DAQmx driver the LabVIEW version can support
- Repair or Force Reinstall DAQmx This absolves any corrupt downloads.
- Rerun the DAQmx installer (setup.exe or autorun.exe), select Custom Installation, and make sure you have installed DAQmx Support for LabVIEW.
- If you left-click on the icon next to LabVIEW, you need to make sure that the Install this feature to a local drive option is selected.
