DAQ Assistant Missing, Not Showing Up, or Not Initializing Correctly in LabVIEW

Issue Details

  • I have already installed LabVIEW, and the DAQ Assistant Express VI is missing or not showing up in my Measurement I/O functions palette, or when I use search.
  • I just installed NI-DAQmx and LabVIEW, but DAQ functions, like DAQ Assistant, are not available in LabVIEW. However, I can create a task in NI MAX. What's wrong with LabVIEW?
  • I am able to see the DAQ Assistant VI, but I am having issues when trying to load it, as it does not initialize correctly when I place it in LabVIEW.

Solution

The DAQ Assistant is part of the NI-DAQmx DAQ hardware driver and is not included with the LabVIEW download. Go through the following checks to ensure that DAQmx is downloaded and compatible with your system.
