  • I have an evaluation copy of LabVIEW for macOS installed on my machine.
  • I have now purchased the LabVIEW software and received the installation media and activation code. How can I activate my software?

Solution

The evaluation version of LabVIEW for macOS is not designed to be activated. Follow the steps below to install the fully activated version of LabVIEW for macOS:

For Customers with the Standard Service Program (SSP): 
The download for LabVIEW for macOS is now available online to customers with SSP. To install, follow the instructions below:
  1. You must first uninstall the evaluation copy of LabVIEW from your machine.
  2. Log in to your NI User Account that is registered with SSP.
  3. Use the links below to access the appropriate download page:
  4. Once you have installed LabVIEW, your installation is complete and no further steps such as activation are necessary.

For Customers without SSP:
The licensing process for LabVIEW for macOS requires that the software be installed from the physical media. To install, follow this instructions:
  1. You must first uninstall the evaluation copy of LabVIEW from your machine.
  2. Then install the version that you have purchased from the media that was shipped to you.
  3. Once you have installed LabVIEW from your shipped media, your installation is complete and no further steps such as activation are necessary.

Additional Information

  • If you do not have a DVD drive on your macOS, you can use a separate computer to copy the files from the DVD onto a USB drive and install from there.
