Issue Details

Is there a breakout board or terminal block that I can use to connect to the 50-pin IDC header of the sbRIO-9626 or sbRIO-9627?

Solution

Yes, the 2 mm IDC Connector Breakout Kit (part number 784507-01), now called the sbRIO Breakout Box can be used to breakout the 50-pin IDC header on the sbRIO-9626 and the sbRIO-9627.  The breakout uses screw terminals so free leads can be connected to the IDC pins.

Additional Information

Often, custom PCBs are created for the 50-pin IDC header, in which case the NI Single-Board RIO 50 pin Ribbon Cable with IDC Headers (part number 154041-12) can be used to connect the custom PCB with the 50-pin IDC header on the sbRIO.
