NI Software Not Appearing in Uninstall a Program

Issue Details

I want to modify, repair or uninstall my NI software but the NI Software category does not appear in the Window's Uninstall a program list. When I navigate to Control Panel >> Programs >> Uninstall a program,  I do not see NI Software. 

Solution

To fix this issue, perform the following steps:
  1. Browse to Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\NIUninstaller
  2. Run InstallValidator.exe
  3. Press OK on the following dialog:


If the NI Uninstaller directory is missing, you can copy it to your computer from another machine with LabVIEW. This will give you access to InstallValidator.exe.

Additional Information

The issue may occur if you:
  1. Install third-party software that includes NI software components
  2. Install NI Software with a setup.exe version earlier than 2.4.1
  3. Remove InstallerValidator.exe from HKEY_LOCL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  4. Use anti-spyware software that blocks HKEY_LOCL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
  5. Remove registry keys from HKEY_LOCL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
