Issue Details

I upgraded from Visual Studio 2010 to Visual Studio 2013. I use Measurement Studio 2015 which is compatible with both.

However, after the update, I cannot connect to components of Measurement Studio, such as NationalInstruments.Analysis.Enterprise. I receive an error:
The type of namespace 'Analysis' does not exist in the namespace 'NationalInstruments' (are you missing an assembly reference).
I have tried to remove the reference and add it again in the Reference Manager but I cannot find it.

How do I fix this?

Solution

Measurement Studio is a set of tools developed to build applications in Visual Studio. When you install Measurement Studio, it becomes associated with a particular version of Visual Studio. Therefore, if you update the version of Visual Studio, Measurement Studio will still be attempting to connect with the old version of Visual Studio and will not be able to connect to the required reference.

To fix this issue, reinstall or modify the installation of Measurement Studio and point it to the current version of Visual Studio.
