Software

  • SystemLink Server
  • Data Management Software Suite

Issue Details

After installing SystemLink, Data Management Software Suite (DMSS) keeps giving me the following warning message and won't allow me to use it.

Warning message:
"The system is not completely initialized. Please wait..."

Solution

Installing SystemLink Server will overwrite any existing RabbitMQ configurations already installed.
If SystemLink Server is installed on a system that has an existing installation of RabbitMQ, SystemLink will overwrite the existing RabbitMQ configuration.

Because Skyline is a central/shared component, it is necessary to uninstall any NI software that references Skyline, SystemLink, Skyline Web Framework or NI Web Server.

Follow the steps to completely uninstall NI related softwares:
  1. Uninstall the entire NI software chain by following Uninstall or Repair National Instruments Software or Drivers in Windows.
  2. Uninstall the following software products on Windows:
  • RabbitMQ Server
  • Erlang
  1. Delete the following directories or rename the:
  • C:\Program Files\National Instruments\...
  • C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\...

Notes: You may also have a C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\... depending on your operating system type. If you have this directory, delete or rename this directory as well.

  1. Restart Windows and reinstall Data Management Software Suite
Notes: You can install other NI software such as LabVIEW or DIAdem again because they do not overwrite Rabbit MQ configurations

Additional Information

Currently, TDM Server 2017 and SystemLink are not designed to work in the same environment. However, we are working on integrating the two products to run together.
