PCI Card Doesn't Fit in CPU Motherboard Slot

Issue Details

I procured a new PCI card and have been trying to install it in my computer but it does not fit in any of the CPU PCI slots. Why is this happening?

Solution

Some motherboards have only PCIe slots.

Check your motherboard to confirm if it has any PCI slots. In case it doesn't, it is recommended that you get an appropriate PCIe card. The image below show various types of slots typically present on a motherboard :
