  • I would like to download and install NI Software and was not given physical media when I purchased my license. What is the proper procedure to follow to download NI software?
  • I need to reinstall some NI Software that I previously purchased, but I no longer have access to the physical media originally shipped with my purchase. I have an active subscription license for the software or a valid service agreement. Is there a way I can download it?

NI software can be downloaded from ni.com/downloads by following the steps below:
  1. Before downloading, register your serial number to your ni.com account . Registering your serial number will ensure that you have access to download the correct software versions connected to your license.
  2. Locate the specific software download page on our website. You can locate this by searching for the software you need to download at ni.com/downloads or by searching for the specific software name in any search engine. Note: If you are unsure what software to download or what is included with your license, contact NI.
  3. Once you locate the software download page, make sure to select the correct download options (such as Supported OS, Version, and Application Bitness) if they are applicable to your download (the available options will vary based on the software). Finally, select Download. The image below shows the LabVIEW download page as an example.

  1. Once the download is completed, run the downloaded file to start the installation and then activate your products with your serial number.
