Issue Details

I'm browsing through my installation CD and I see Setup and Autorun files. Which file should I use to install my software?

Solution

The Autorun file is the file your operating system looks for when an installation CD is run. It usually points to the Setup file and other files in order to install the software. Therefore, if your drive is configured to run a CD when it is inserted then the Autorun file will be found which will run your Setup file for installation.

If you are installing without a CD (for example, from a network) then use the Setup file. This is the executable that will install the software.
