Can I Define IP Address Aliases For a Real-Time PXI System?

Issue Details

I have configured two ethernet ports on my PXI ethernet card to be on different subnets. On occasion we need to connect the two ports together. Normally I could create IP address aliases to help, but I can't see how to do that on the RT PXI system. Is this possible?

Solution

The PharLap ETS operating system is the real-time operating system employed by PXI and PXIe controllers, and does not allow for IP Aliasing.

Additional Information

PharLap adapters have to have unique IP addresses, and they have to be on different subnets to work properly.
