Programmatically Obtain LLB Version Information

Issue Details

LLBs have version information in their properties as shown below. 
Can I obtain this information programmatically? 

Solution

The Version Number shown in the LLB properties is a property of the library under Build Specifications in the project. Therefore, it is a property associated with the project itself. Programatically, you would be able to obtain this information if you read your project as an XML file and scan the string that you read for the version number. 

However, if you use this LLB in another project, it acts as a virtual folder so the version information you see in its properties would not be part of that library.
 

Additional Information

If you would like to keep information about whether this is one version of the library or another, you can add a VI inside the library that has a control with the version number you give it. That can be read as shown in the figure.
