Why is NI MAX Opening Slowly, Lost Connection to Ethernet Devices and Freezes the OS?

Issue Details

Opening NI Measurement & Automation Exploer (NI MAX) takes up to 15 minutes and does not let me communicate with my Ethernet cDAQ devices losing intermittently the connection. Sometimes it also freeze the OS, or parts of the GUI freeze or load for extended periods of time.

 

Solution

This problem could be related to a corruption of the NI MAX database or due an incorrect installation of the DAQmx driver.
