Issue Details

I am trying to call a Microsoft Excel application using the application control function node or using the Active X controls in LabVIEW, but I am getting an unspecified fault with error code -2146777998 as shown below:

Solution

  • Verify that the version of Excel is registered and activated with Microsoft
  • Make sure to login to Microsoft account
  • Close all open Excel instances
  • Restart the computer if Excel has been updated recently
