Issue Details

  • I have a serial number for a number of seats of Electronics Workbench (EWB) Software version 9, 8, 7 or 6 (2001). How can I manage this across the network?
  • Where can I request a new Release Code for our Network Licence Server (NLS)?
  • Can I manage my Electronics Workbench (EWB) Software version 9, 8, 7 or 6 (2001) through NI Volume License Manager (NI VLM)?

Solution

If you are using a single seat license of EWB Software see Electronics Workbench Products Release Codes.

EWB Multisim versions 9, 8, 7 or 6 (2001) use Network License Server (NLS) to manage volume licenses and are not able to be managed by NI Volume License Manager (NI VLM) or FlexLM.

NLS should be on the media you use to install EWB Multisim. The instructions for using NLS are in the EWB MultiSim User manual (see related links), page 1-10.

If you need the installation media or a release code for NLS please contact Technical Support using Service Request Manager with the below information:
  • Version of EWB Multisim used
  • Serial number (e.g. XX-1234-56789-0123-45678 or 1234-56789-0123-45678).
  • Signature (e.g. 12355-67890)
  • Number of seats within the license

Additional Information

If you are not sure what the Signature Code is, please launch the application. On the initial screen (where you get prompted to type in a release code) you will see that the Signature Code is displayed. It is important to give the correct Signature Code in order to get the correct Release Code.
