Issue Details

What type of protocol is used for transport layer of Ethernet/IP?

For Ethernet/IP, there are two communication types: implicit messaging and explicit messaging.
For implicit messaging such as I/O data messaging, Ethernet/IP uses UDP (User Datagram Protocol) as its transport protocol.
On the other hand, Ethernet/IP uses TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) as its transport protocol for explicit messaging.

Additional Information

In LabVIEW, functions in Industrial Communications >> Ethernet/IP >> I/O Data palette are used for implicit messaging, and functions in Industrial Communications >> Ethernet/IP >> Messaging palette are used for explicit messaging.
