Issue Details

Why does my Debug Deployment System license not activate Application Builder?

Solution

The Debug Deployment System license includes a license for LabVIEW Application Builder. If you are having issues with accessing these features, it may be due to a conflict with an expired evaluation license.

To prevent this from happening, navigate to the licenses directory and remove the expired licenses.

NI license files are stored in:
  • Windows XP - C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Licenses
  • Windows 7/8/8.1/10 - C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\License Manager\Licenses
The license file naming convention is <Application Name>_<Product Name>_PKG_<Version>.lc. For example:
  • LabVIEW Professional Development System 2018 - LabVIEW_PDS_PKG_180000.lc
  • LabVIEW Debug Deployment System 2018 SP1 - LabVIEW_PDSD_PKG_180001.lc
Note: The file extension may be either .lic or .lc.
