Missing Datawords While Using Ballard PXIe MIL-1553B Card

Issue Details

I'm performing a Bus Controller to Remote Terminal transaction using the Astronics Ballard PXIe MIL-1553B card. However instead of the 32 expected data words at the Remote Terminal, only a few valid data words were received in my LabVIEW code. Why am I seeing this data loss?

Solution

Make sure you have selected all 32 words in the Word Count field while creating the XML file using BTI XML Editor, as highlighted in the below image. This will make sure that data words are not missed in a message transfer while using the Astronics Ballard PXI Express MIL-1553B Card.
