Launch NI OPC Server From Windows Start Menu

Issue Details

I have installed NI OPC Servers but I can't find it in the Windows Start menu.  I typed in NI OPC Servers but the only result I get is a folder that does not contain any EXE or application to run.  I have confirmed that NI OPC Servers is installed, but I do not know where to find it.

Solution

Try typing in OPC Servers to the Windws Start Menu.  When you type in OPC Servers, you should see OPC Servers Configuration and OPC Servers Administration show up.

If you still do not have results, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\NI OPC Servers\V5 and you should see a file called server_config.exe that will launch NI OPC Servers.

Additional Information

The Start Menu name for NI OPC Servers changed to OPC Servers starting in the 2013 release.
