SEA modules are supported in CompactRIO (cRIO) devices as described in
CompactRIO Third-Party Products Complete Overview List . There is no differentiation between cRIO and sbRIO devices as far as module software support is concerned. You should concern about physical limitations of using the NI-9697 mezzanine card with enclosed modules. According to
CompactRIO Single-Board Controller Module Compatibility , National Instruments recommends to use board-only modules with sbRIO devices and doesn't recommend to remove a module from its enclosure because it voids the warranty rules and invalidate certain certification. Then, before purchasing and using a module of the SEA or any third-party ones with sbRIO, you must contact the vendor to make sure they provide a board-only card version.
