Issue Details

  • I am using the LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office and I receive error -2147417846 when attempting to append text to my Word report. How can I resolve this error?
  • I created an executable that uses LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit and works correctly on the development PC. When I distribute it on my client PC it doesn't work showing the error below. How can I fix it?

Solution

The problem may occur due to unlicensed Microsoft Office, you need to activate Office by the following steps:
  1. Open Start.
  2. Click a product such as Word or Excel to launch the program.
  3. Click Activate.
  4. Click Sign In.
  5. Sign in with your Microsoft account.

Additional Information

Another possible reason is that on your PC you have not installed Microsoft Office Suite.
