"Target Disconnected" Shows on XNET LIN Resource Dropdown Menu in LabVIEW

Issue Details

I inserted a LIN interface C series module on a cRIO. I connected to the cRIO from my LabVIEW Project, but the LIN resource dropdown for selecting the interface only shows "Target disconnected". 

I am positive that the cRIO is connected. How do I fix this issue?

Solution

You must upgrade the firmware of your cRIO.

You can update the firmware of the detected LIN Modules on your cRIO from NI MAX.

If your LIN interfaces are not detected, you can upgrade the firmware by following : Upgrade Firmware on C Series XNET Device in a CompactRIO Chassis

Additional Information

Newer versions of XNET include the functionality to avoid the need of compiling a blank VI to use the XNET C series modules with certain cRIO models. This functionality requires to update the firmware in the C series module.
