Solution

NI License Manager 4.4 is incompatible with NI Volume License Manager (VLM) versions 3.1 and previous.

Ask your licensing software administrator to update to version 3.1.1 or later of NI Volume License Manager. NI VLM 3.1.1 and newer is compatible with previous versions of NI License Manager.
If your software administrator is running the FlexLM/FlexNet Publisher, they will need to upgrade the vendor daemon to version 11.15 or newer.

Note: Volume License Manager 3.1.1 and later are compatible with all previous versions of License Manager. Upgrading VLM will not affect clients with versions older than 4.4.

Additional Information

NI License Manager 4.4 uses a new version of the Flexera licensing technology that makes it incompatible with older versions of NI Volume License Manager.
