Can I Hide Block Diagram Controls in LabVIEW?

Issue Details

In LabVIEW, can I create a control on the Front Panel without the corresponding value showing up on the Block Diagram? Or is there a way to hide the Block Diagram controls? For example, I want to have multiple controls on the Front Panel that all reference the same one thing on the Block Diagram. Therefore, I do not need multiple corresponding controls showing up on the Block Diagram. 

Solution

When you create a control (or indicator) on the Front Panel there is no way to prevent the corresponding value from showing up on the Block Diagram. Additionally, there is no way to hide the corresponding Block Diagram values. Therefore, if you create multiple controls (or indicators) on the Front Panel, there will be multiple corresponding values on the Block Diagram.
