I Can't Calibrate My Emvco 3.0 Antennas Within Tolerances

Issue Details

Perfoming the Verification Procedure Using a VNA  of the EMV® Level 1 Specifications for Payment Systems, I found out that my measurement of Resonance Frequency, Banwidth, Quality Factor are out of spec.

Solution

Here are two possible solution at this issue.

  • Place your PICC in free air at least with 30cm up and down from any obstacle.

 

  • You can use the extended tolerance of 2% as noted in the version of november 2018 of the MV® Level 1 Specifications for Payment Systems specification

 

 

Additional Information

This issue can happen when you're not doing the measurement in an incorrect environment or when you’re using a VNA from a different manufacturer than the one used for the qualification.
