Issue Details

I have to migrate to LabVIEW 2018 an old piece of LabVIEW code built with LabVIEW 2010. This old code uses the Configuration Tool Reference Design Library , however, it does not look like this library has been updated in a long time. Was this library deprecated in favor of something else?

Solution

Later versions of LabVIEW have Configuration File Vis included as part of the File I/O VIs and Functions palette. In NI Example Finder, there are examples that demonstrates how to write and read configuration files (Fundamentals >> File Input and Output >> Configuration (INI)).

Additional Information

As it is mentioned in the readme file of the Configuration Tool Reference Design Library, this library is supported by LabVIEW versions compatible with Windows Vista/XP/2000. However, the library may be compatible with other LabVIEW targets (like LabVIEW 2018), but they have not been tested, so, we cannot guarantee functionality.
