Error -1074360253 Using NI-IMAQdx With USB Camera

Issue Details

I am running a LabVIEW Vision Development Module VI that suddenly gets the following error:
Error -1074360253 occurred at an unidentified location

Possible reason(s):

The USB connection speed is not supported by the camera. Check whether the camera is plugged into a USB 2.0 port instead of a USB 3.0 port. If so, verify that the camera supports this use case.

Solution

This error could be due to:
  • A USB 3.0 camera is plugged into a USB 2.0 port. You can verify a USB 3.0 port by either a USB 3.0 marking or the port should have a blue component in it.
  • The USB cable is not fully inserted into the port. Verify that the connector on the end of the camera is the correct type and that it fits properly (i.e USB 3.0 Micro B instead of USB 3.0 Type A)
  • The USB cable is either broken or incompatible. Try replacing the cable with a known working cable.
