Issue Details

Is it possible to power on my PXI Chassis, using a PXIe-8301 MXI connection other than manually pushing the power button?

Solution

Unfortunately, you won't be able to remotely power on any chassis with the PXIe-8301 due to limitations set by Intel's Thunderbolt Specification.
However, if your chassis allows it, you can use the remote inhibit function to power on your chassis remotely. Please reference the User Manual of your specific chassis or see the related links for capability and instructions.
