Issue Details

I am looking to create a custom PCB for my application with National Instruments hardware. What does "RSVD" mean on the device pin out and what should I do with them in my PCB?

Solution

In National Instrument devices some pins are reserved specifically for communication with National Instruments accessories. These reserved pins are designated by "RSVD" in the pinout. When creating a custom PCB we recommend leaving these pins unconnected because they are reserved for very specific communications and will not have any functionality to the end user.
